The Blueprint of a Church

For this series on the beginnings of the church in the Book of Acts, I created a literal, giant blueprint of our church building.

To begin, I took a photo of our chancel and choir loft and then used Photoshop to turn that into a simple line drawing. Using a grid, I redrew the small drawing on the larger paper, and then added some fun architectural drawing notes.

The blueprint itself was made from blue butcher paper that I glued together. Using rope and a large PVC dowel along the top, I suspended the paper in the exact spot where the drawing lined up.
