Hear us.

A prayer for the moments when God is hard to find.

Spirit.
Spirit of life.
Spirit of love.

We trust that you hear us.
We trust that somehow in the clamoring cacophony of creation, your ears can turn to us and hear.

You hear the weakness that rattles in our bones.
You hear the joy that bubbles in our laughter.
You hear the sorrow that swirls behind our eyes.
You hear the relief that escapes with our sighs.
You hear the worry that shakes beneath our breaths.
You hear the hope that bursts from our future.
You hear the ache that gnaws from our past.

We trust that you hear us.

So, sit with us now, God.

Listen to the rhythm of our breath.
Listen to the beating of our hearts.
Listen to the racing of our minds.

And give us what we need. All we need.

A word. A feeling.

Calm.
Courage.

Rest.
Restoration.

Happiness.
Healing.

Willpower.
Wisdom.

Acceptance.
Forgiveness.

And most of all,
Peace.

Holy One of our past, present, and future, give us all that we need—in this moment, in this time.
